We made a second movie in 1988, in July. This was probably during our longer session. Check it out. it's fun. Apparently, in 1988 - campers and counselors on a rather boring Sunday afternoon decided to write, direct, act, film, and "kind of edit" a feature film. These movies are about ten minutes or so each and while the quality can't compare to what we could do today with a decent digital camera or a cellphone...they're still funny to watch. Check out this first one, "A Camper's First Session - or A Parent's Mistake." It's the holiday break and I promised I would get a lot of the old photos reposted. Haven't gotten there yet, but I'm posting this movie trailer starring our current pets. Camp always had a regular zoo of pets and Bobbie and I still have a ever-changing collection. Do any of you remember the "feature length" movies we made during some of the camp sessions. I'm pretty sure Scott James was the first director and creative talent behind those and they starred virtually everyone in camp. What a hoot to watch them. Well, I've found what I think is the complete TrailRidge video collection. They're in VHS-C format and need to be converted to digital. Once that's done I plan to post them on this site. Happy Holidays. And enjoy this 1 minute 8 second film. Wow. Wouldn't it have been incredible to have digital editing with iMovie back in those camp days? |
